AVB joins the queue for young forward.
Tottenham Hotspur have become the latest club to show an interest in young Barcelona forward Cristian Tello, according to talkSPORT.
The 21-year-old broke into Barca’s first team last year and has continued his rapid progress by featuring prominently this season, scoring eight goals in 31 appearances across all competitions.
Spurs are looking to add more firepower to their frontline this summer but they are not alone in monitoring the youngster.
Last year Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Valencia all made enquiries about the player but Barcelona rejected all advances in order to bring the La Masia graduate further into the first team set up.
His performances this term have been strong enough to draw a closer look from Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who is lining up potential replacements for both Gareth Bale and Emmanuel Adebayor with the pair both mooted to be on their way out of White Heart Lane.
Tello has already graduated to the Spanish under-21 national side and has picked up a single cap for the Catalan representative too.
However, Barcelona have big plans for him and aren’t thought to be willing to listen to any offers so it may take a big sum, or an intriguing part exchange deal to convince them to let him go.
