Santos star to make Barca move this summer.
Barcelona look likely to complete a huge transfer coup this summer, after Mundo Deportivo reported that Santos star Neymar wants to join the club after the Confederations Cup.
The 21-year-old is one of the most highly rated young talents in world football, and has been a target for several top clubs over the last few years, though Barca were often cited as favourites to sign him.
He will join for around £42million after rejecting the advances of Barcelona’s arch rivals Real Madrid, and look to strike up a mouth-watering partnership with star player Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.
The Brazilian has scored 136 goals in five seasons with Santos, and has 19 goals in 31 appearances for his national team. He will hopefully prove a much-needed tonic to Barcelona after a difficult season.
Although the La Liga title looks to be in the bag for the Catalan giants, they have struggled against the bigger sides this season and were humiliated by Bayern Munich after a 7-0 aggregate defeat in the semi finals of the Champions League.
A number of changes are expected to be made to the team, but they will be thrilled to seal the signing of Neymar, a player who could be a star at the Nou Camp for many years to come.
