Slovakian international eyed by Rodgers.
Geona midfielder Juraj Kucka is said to be flattered by the rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form for the northern Italian side this term and his good performances have reportedly caught the eye of Reds boss Brendan Rodgers.
The Slovakian international has reportedly been talking to his international teammate, Martin Skrtel, and is excited by the prospect of lining up next to him at Anfield, but for the time being he is just happy to be flattered at the link as he insists that he is staying focussed on Genoa.
“It’s good news,” Kucka told Slovakian newspaper Dennik Sport. “I have read it on the internet.
“I have not called my compatriot Martin Skrtel and have no plans to do so. I prefer to keep my feet on the ground.
“I am a Genoa player, so I have to think that I’ll play in Genoa the next season.
“But I can imagine what it would mean to wear the Liverpool shirt.”
Kucka joined Genoa from Sparta Prague in 2011 and he has gone on to make nearly 100 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.
