Manager Paul Ince hopes his son rejects advances from Premier League.
Blackpool manager Paul Ince has expressed his desire for his highly-rated son Tom to stay with the club in the Championship for at least one more season.
The former Liverpool winger has been one of the most impressive performers in the Championship this season, scoring 18 goals for the club to help them to safety in England’s second tier.
His form has attracted strong interest from Liverpool in bringing him back to Anfield, and Tottenham are also said to be keen on the 21-year-old.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Seasiders boss admitted it would be difficult to keep Ince at the club for much longer, but is determined to keep him for at least one more season as he is such a key player for his side.
“I hope we’ve not seen the last of Thomas in a tangerine shirt,” the former Manchester United midfielder said. “He’s one of the situations we’ll be addressing.
“He will move on and be a top, top player in the Premier League. I just hope it’s not this summer he moves.
“The 18 goals he scored this season kept Blackpool in the Championship.
“I’m not just saying that because he’s my son. When you look at his goals and assists, he’s done brilliantly.”
The talented attacker will represent the England Under-21s in this summer’s European Championships in Israel, and more influential displays could see his stock rise even further.
