Former Arsenal man distances himself from rumours.
Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has poured cold water on the rumours linking him with a shock summer switch to Manchester United, according to talkSPORT.
The former Arsenal man has struggled to establish himself as a key player at the Camp Nou and has been consistently linked with a move to the Premier League champions for months.
United are desperate for more midfield options as they prepare to defend their title and launch a fresh assault on the Champions League and will look to move on the likes of Anderson and Nani whilst there are still concerns over the long term fitness of Scottish ace Darren Fletcher.
The Catalan giants have recently added Neymar to their line up and there are fears that his arrival could spell the the beginning of the end for Fabregas’ time with his boyhood heroes.
However, the 26-year-old doesn’t quite see it that way and in an interview with a Spanish radio station he reiterated his desire to stay at the club and insisted that he is happy to fight for his place.
“There is nothing to say,” he said in response to questions about a move. “I’m very happy at Barca, and I want to stay for many more years to come.”
