Anfield club insist they have final say over transfer.
Liverpool have reminded want-away striker Luis Suarez that they have the final say over any potential deal according to Goal.com.
The Uruguayan striker has made no secret of his desire to leave the club this summer and has publically courted the attention of Real Madrid and Arsenal.
The player’s actions have come to the disappointment of many linked with Liverpool, who believe Suarez owes the club a debt of loyalty after they stuck with him throughout the numerous disciplinary problems he has suffered in recent years.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Suarez will not simply be able to orchestrate a move away from the club and insisted that he will not stand for any disrespect being shown to the club.
Liverpool’s resolve to keep hold of Suarez is likely to be severely tested over the coming week with Arsenal thought to be ready to make an improved offer for his services.
The club had a £30 million bid turned down for Suarez last week but it is understood they are ready to up that offer by another £10 million.
Rodgers poured cold water on suggestions Suarez might leave though, insisting he very much expected the player to still be at the club come September.
