Belgian side look to bring in underused Anfield wide-man.
Belgian giants Anderlecht have confirmed they are in talks with Liverpool in relation to their interest in rarely used winger Oussama Assaidi according to the Metro.
The 24 year old Moroccan barely got a look in last term but when called upon has generally impressed whilst in Liverpool colours.
Liverpool paid £2.4m to bring in the Heerenveen attacker to Anfield last summer but then proceeded to hand the speedy wide-man a grand total of 77 minutes of Premier League action during the space of four substitute run-outs.
A move to Belgium may well tempt Assaidi, not least because Brendan Rodgers has brought in a number of new faces this summer which could well see his chances even more limited in 2013/14.
Anderlecht are however willing to pay just half the £3m that Liverpool are looking to garner for his services.
Prior to his move to Merseyside Assaidi spent three solid campaigns at Heerenveen, scoring 22 goals in 93 appearances for the Eredivisie side.
