The midfielder can’t see Fabregas leaving Barcelona for Manchester United this summer.
Andres Iniesta doubts that Cesc Fabregas will leave Barcelona for Manchester United this summer, despite reports suggesting that the Red Devils are preparing a third bid for the midfielder, Goal.com reports.
Manchester United manager David Moyes is desperate to sign Fabregas this summer in order to bolster the Red Devils midfield following the retirement of Paul Scholes.
Reports suggest that following two failed bids, United will offer Barcelona one final £35 million offer for Fabregas in a bid to lure the former Arsenal captain back to the Premier League.
However, Iniesta insists that he can’t see Fabregas leaving this summer.
“I can’t see Cesc leaving,” the 29-year-old told gathered media at a reforestation event in Juzcar.
“It’s normal that great players attract the interest of other clubs. Barca are very lucky to have him and I hope we get to keep playing together.”
The final bid from United will really test whether or not Barcelona want to keep Fabregas at the club, with some suggesting that selling Fabregas would enable the club to gain funds in their search for a new centre back.
Fabregas will consider a move back to England if Barcelona accept Manchester United’s offer, with the midfielder thought to be interested in moving to Old Trafford as he would be able to more first team football there.
