Barcelona midfielder set to remain at Nou Camp.
The agent of Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas has moved to reassure the club that his client has no intention of leaving Catalonia according to The Metro.
Fabregas is reported to have been the subject of strong interest from Manchester United in recent weeks.
But Barcelona have continued to insist they have no intention of selling the Spanish international, and it appears the player is in no mood to force through a move.
Fabregas has struggled to impose himself on the Barcelona first team since joining the club from Arsenal and it had been suggested he could consider a move elsewhere in order to gain regular first team football.
His chances of receiving it with the La Liga champions were further diminished this summer by the arrival of Brazilian wonderkid Neymar but new Barcelona coach Tata Martino has insisted Fabregas remains very much part of his first team plans.
Fabregas returned to training today and told Barcelona via his agent that he has no intention of leaving the club.
That is likely to cause further frustration at Old Trafford, where United have endured a difficult summer in the transfer market.
They have already seen their number one target, Thiago Alcantara, spurn their advances in favour of Bayern Munich and look set to be turned down yet again as they look to sign a central midfielder.
