Chelsea defender David Luiz has set his heart on a move to Barcelona and will attempt to force this way out of Stamford Bridge next week, the Daily Star reports.
Barcelona have made Luiz their main transfer target for the remainder of the summer as they look for a centre back who will strengthen their defence following several poor defensive displays last season.
The Catalan club launched a £35 million bid for Luiz earlier in the week and are confident that they can land the Brazilian, who would suit the La Liga Champions style of play.
However, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho recently said that there was “no chance” of Luiz leaving Stamford Bridge for Barcelona, despite reports earlier in the summer saying that the Portuguese manager would be happy to cash in on the Brazilian.
Luiz has been a frustrating figure at Stamford Bridge ever since he joined the club from Benfica in 2011.
He loves to get forward and start attacks but that often leaves Chelsea open to a counter attack and he has been blamed for several goals that the Blues conceded last season.
