Turks linked with late move for United stalwart.
Turkish giants Galatasaray could make a late move for Patrice Evra before the end of the summer transfer window if Manchester United sign Leighton Baines, according to the Daily Mail.
The 32-year-old has been a key player over the years for United, but question marks have been raised over his consistency in recent times, and he himself is concerned that he may no longer be first choice under new manager David Moyes.
The former Everton boss has been linked with a raid on his old club for left-back Baines all summer, and he is believed to be stepping up his efforts to land the England international as the window draws to a close.
Evra had been linked with a return to former club Monaco earlier in the summer, but it is now believed that Galatasaray would front the queue if he became available in the coming weeks.
The Frenchman could become the latest big name to join the Turks, following the signings of former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and former Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder in January.
Evra has made over 300 appearances for the Old Trafford club, winning five Premier League titles and the Champions League since joining in 2006.
