Italians hope to snag deal for talented stopper.
Italian giants Inter Milan are planning on rivalling the Premier League interest in young Saint Etienne defender Kurt Zouma by lining up their own bid in the hope of persuading him to shun the advances from England, talkSPORT reports.
Clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all thought to be keeping a close eye on the 18-year-old, who has been regarded as one of the hottest talents in France at the moment.
He has already clocked up 47 Ligue 1 appearances since making his top flight bow back in 2011 for Les Verts, and he was part of France’s victorious Under-20 World Cup-winning side earlier this year.
And now Inter are thought to be keen on testing St Etienne’s resolve with a big money bid during the January transfer window.
The Serie A giants are set to be taken over by Indonesian billionaire Erick Thohir, who could sanction a transfer splurge when the window re-opens.
They are currently enjoying a fine purple patch to the start of the season under new coach Walter Mazzarri as they look to bounce back from their worst ever Serie A finish last term that saw them finish in ninth.
