Liverpool are reportedly taking a real interest in in-form Greek forward Konstantinos Mitroglou according to the Daily Star.

Brendan Rodgers is one of several bosses keeping tabs on Mitroglou with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Genoa, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon and Arsenal all taking a look at the 25 year old who simply can’t stop scoring.

Incredibly the Greek international has already scored four hat-tricks this season and has a phenomenal total of 12 goals in nine matches in all competitions thus far this term.

Konstantinos Mitroglou came through the Borussia Monchengladbach youth team system before moving back to his native Greece to join Olympiakos back in 2007 and initially struggled for form before a successful loan spell at Atromitos got his game back into gear.

Last term Mitroglou netted 20 goals in all competitions and has continued to hit form this season, hence the growing interest in the powerful forward.

One would imagine that Liverpool’s interest would only be relevant if the club failed to keep hold of Luis Suarez as Rodgers also has the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Iago Aspas to call upon before needing to consider further attacking options.
