England man praises strike partner.
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has praised his forward partner Luis Suarez by claiming that the pair have a ‘great chemistry’ together, Sky Sports reports.
The dynamic duo have contributed five of Liverpool’s previous six goals in the Premier League encounters against Sunderland and Crystal Palace.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers believes that the pair can become one of the deadliest strike partnerships in the top flight, and Sturridge has echoed his manager’s sentiments by expressing his delight at being able to line up alongside the Uruguayan.
“He’s a nice guy and we have great chemistry on the field, and we get on well off it so it’s good,” Sturridge said.
“It’s easier when you’ve got somebody like Luis, who can help you share the goals out, and we’ve also got the likes of Steven Gerrard and Victor Moses who can pitch in.
“So there are goals throughout the team. Hopefully we can continue with the form we’ve got at the moment.”
Liverpool have made a strong start to the season and currently sit in second place in the table, something which Sturridge attributes to Brendan Rodgers installing a winning mentality into the squad.
“Everybody wants to have success. It’s not about getting by and being content with second or third.
“It’s about having a winning mentality and that’s something the manager’s instilled in us now, where everybody’s got that feeling to want to win every game.”
