Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has dropped a hint that he could be preparing a move to bring Wilfred Zaha back to the club on loan during the January transfer window, talkSPORT reports.

The young talent has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since his £15m move to the champions over the summer and has not played a single minute of football for the club since winning the Community Shield back in August.

That has led to speculation he could return to Palace on loan in January after they were knocked back in a late bid on the final day of the summer transfer window.

And now Holloway has confessed that he could be tempted to go back for a second bite at the cherry in the new year.

“The coincidence that he was our player and joined Man United is wearing on me a bit,” he said.

“The boy is sorely missed at our football club because of the belief he used to give us. The emergence of (Adnan) Januzaj hasn’t helped Wilf.

“Good luck to him and we will revisit that if and when we might see fit.”

Zaha made 143 appearances for Palace since making his breakthrough back in 2009 and scored 19 goals in the process.
