Gunners youngster on Barca wish-list for January.
Arsenal starlet Jack Wilshere is one of three big-name midfield targets for Barcelona this January along with Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan and Koke of Atletico Madrid, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form for the Gunners this season, looking back to his best after over a year out with injury before making his comeback last term, and has come onto the radar of one of the world’s biggest clubs once again.
Although Barcelona are well stocked in midfield, with the likes of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas among the best in the world in that position, the Catalan giants are keen to add one more big name to their selection this January.
Dortmund’s Gundogan has been linked with the club before, and his impressive displays in the Bundesliga make him another one of the most highly rated young players in the world in that position.
Atletico Madrid youngster Koke is also attracting a great deal of attention at the moment, and Barca could face competition from Manchester United for his signature this January.
Arsenal will certainly be extremely reluctant to sell Wilshere, who is a product of their youth team and a real fans’ favourite at the Emirates Stadium, though the Gunners do have a history of selling their best players to Barcelona.
