Polish wonder kid on Moyes’ radar.
Manchester United boss David Moyes is reportedly leading the charge for young Polish midfielder Karol Linetty, who has been described as ‘the new Luka Modric’, according to the Daily Mirror.
The under fire United boss sent one of his top scouts to watch the Lech Poznan starlet in action over the weekend after glowing reports from Poland have likened him to former United target Luka Modric.
However, Linetty was only used as a sub in the game – much to the frustration of 40 scouts who took in the match.
But that has not dampened the defending champions desire to bring him on board and have made it clear to Poznan that they want him should he go up for sale at any point over the course of the season.
Linetty came through the youth ranks at Poznan at 18 and though he is slight of build he is skilful and more than capable of causing even the most experienced of defenders problems.
United have been told that it will take a fee of around £4m to prize him away from his hometown club and his arrival could very well spell the end of Shinji Kagawa’s time in the Northwest.
