Manchester United are set to make a bid for in-form Barcelona winger Alexis Sanchez during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Star.

Reports in the Spanish press have said that Moyes will return for the speedy wide man in the new years as he continues to keep tabs on him to check his progress during the early stages of the season.
United are believed to have a considerable amount in their new year war chest, and with the likes of Nani, Anderson and Ashley Young under performing Moyes will be looking to bring in a fresh new addition to help get their season back on track.
This isn’t the first Barca star that United have been linked with this year, as Moyes missed out on deals for Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara over the summer as the former Arsenal man opted to stay, whilst his younger counterpart decided to follow Pep Guardiola to Bayern Munich.
The likes of Inter Milan and Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint-Germain, are also said to have had their heads turned by Sanchez’s recent form, but news in Spain have United as frontrunners to land his signature.
The Chilean is currently Barcelona’s second highest scorer this season with seven goals in nine games.
