Thomas was arguably the best winger to play for QPR, using his pace and strength on the ball to provide the likes of Stan Bowles and Gerry Francis with brilliant service from the wing. Thomas was a crucial player in the 1975/76 season, with QPR leading the First Division for most of the season before narrowly missing out on the top spot to Liverpool.
