Aspas has recently been tipped to make a loan move away form the Anfield club after struggling to recapture the kind of form that prompted Brendan Rodgers to pay Celta Vigo £7m for his services over the summer.

Real Betis have been credited with an interest as his barren spell of no goals in just eight appearances this season has meant he has played just a peripheral role in the club’s solid start to the campaign.

In the light of Daniel Sturridge’s ankle injury, it remains to be seen if Rodgers would consider letting the 25-year-old leave as doing so would mean a shortage of attacking options.

However, Aspas’ agent, Jose Rodriguez Baster, has confirmed several clubs have expressed an interest in the forward, but Liverpool will ultimately make the decision over where his future may lie.

“In two weeks I have a meeting in Liverpool with the Liverpool directors to analyse the future of Iago Aspas in January,” Rodriguez Baster told Sky Sports.

“Up to now the news in the papers is simply rumours.

“Some clubs have made enquiries, but the decision will be made by the directors at Liverpool.”
