FC Basel are willing to listen to offers of around £15m for Salah and such a price may well prove to be a bargain in today’s inflated transfer market.
Salah has helped his side to the verge of booking a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League, netting twice against Chelsea in the process. The youngster has been astonishingly successful when representing his national team, scoring 17 goals in 26 appearances.
A move for Salah would certainly adhere to Liverpool’s youthful transfer policy and with Victor Moses failing to impress since joining the club on a season long loan spell and with Iago Aspas struggling for form and Daniel Sturridge out injured a move to boost the Anfield attack in January would be a sensible plan of action for Brendan Rodgers to take.
