The brilliant Uruguay international has spent large parts of this year once again making the headlines, for both good and bad reasons, and so it really should come as little surprise that the Reds attacker has come out on top in Twitter’s Review of the Year when it comes to how many times someone was mentioned on the social media platform.

Meanwhile, interestingly Premier League sides Swansea and Aston Villa came in at numbers three and four respectively, #MUFC at number six, #TransferDeadlineDay in seventh place, FIFA in at number eight, Paul Scholes was in ninth position and not surprisingly, #ThankYouSirAlx rounds off the competed top 10.
