The former Brazil Under-20 international is now a star back in his homeland after last month being voted as the Player of the Year on the back of his eye-catching displays in helping his club to win the championship.
And now it is understood that the likes of United, Madrid and Liverpool are all desperate to get their hands on Ribeiro next month as the player himself gets ready to finally leave Brazil in search of the riches on offer on the Continent.
However, when recently asked by Globoesporte whether he would prefer a move to Old Trafford or the Santiago Bernabeu in January, the 24-year-old said the former.
“Yes, I would prefer that. The structure they (United) have in place is one of the best in the world. I have been there already and went to a lecture by Alex Ferguson when I was younger,” stated the Brazilian, who has previously trained at United’s Carrington base.
And now it is expected that the Red Devils will make a move for Ribeiro in January after new United head coach David Moyes sent scouts out to watch the player in action first hand on numerous occasions since the start of the new campaign.
