The 26 year old has been in phenomenal form this term and will be a target for many of Europe’s ‘Elite’ and a £70m bid will trigger the former Ajax man’s release clause and perhaps such a bid is not unthinkable.
Arguably Suarez is the most in-form striker in Europe and as such an offer of £70m would be a fair price to pay for his services and apparently the clause can be met if Liverpool fail to secure a Champions League berth.
Liverpool had wanted to set the trigger at £100m but it was when the compromise figure of £70m was agreed that the contract was signed by the goal machine.
Luis Suarez has scored 20 goals in 15 Premier League appearances this season.
