David Moyes is desperately in need of some creativity as his current crop of midfield options is fairly brittle and in no way a potential goal threat. Sneijder could be the ideal man to bring in during the January transfer window in order to help boost the club’s chances of salvaging something from a fairly shocking season.
Sneijder left Inter Milan to join Turkish giants Galatasaray last January and it’s a move that has helped re-ignite the flair player’s career and given that Roberto Mancini’s side are still in the Champions League it may prove tough to convince the former Man City boss to sell.
Moyes brought in Marouane Fellaini to boost his midfield last summer but prior to being sidelined with injury concerns the Belgian was used primarily in a holding role and wasn’t all that effective.
Shinji Kagawa has been used sparingly and the likes of Tom Cleverley, Anderson, Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher don’t offer all that much in the final third so one can see why Moyes would be keen to land a player of Sneijder’s pedigree.
