The 25-year-old moved to Florence on a six-month loan deal in the January transfer window after falling to convince the new Red Devils head coach of his worth to the team.

However, Anderson has now claimed that he was never given a proper chance to show his worth at Old Trafford by the Scot, saying: “To be honest, I’ve not had the chance. He gave me one chance or a half but not a lot.

“He is the manager and I have to respect him. He treated me well and he has a lot of players. I have to play and have my chance. It is better for me at Fiorentina.”

The midfielder started just two matches under Moyes all campaign long, while in total Anderson featured in 10 contests in all competitions, four of which came in the Premier League, with the Brazil international contributing not a single goal or assist in that time.
