Old Trafford boss David Moyes is keen on German international Ilkay Gundogan and a swap deal appears to be on the table, a move that would appear to suit all parties.

24 year old Japanese international Kagawa has failed to make an impact since making a £16m move to Man United back in 2012 and the arrival of Juan Mata will see his playing time limited further so a move back to the Westfalenstadion would probably tempt the Kobe born attacker.

Box to box performer Gundogan is currently out with a back injury and is edging towards the final year of his current contract and his father has intimated that his son is open to offers and a move to Man United may tempt the Borussia Dortmund man.

Gundogan would offer Moyes a steely edge in the middle of the park and the former Nurnberg man is also adept at spraying out lengthy passes and rarely wastes possession.
