Goodison Park side plan shock move for Anfield bit-part player.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is lining up a surprise summer move for Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Spaniard knows Allen well from his time in charge of Swansea City and wants to bring in the Welsh international, perhaps in the knowledge that Everton may struggle to tie down loaned in midfielder Gareth Barry to a permanent deal.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has used the 23 year old sparingly this term, with Jordan Henderson being a far more effective option this season, with Allen making just seven Premier League starts this term in comparison to the 37 appearances he made in all competitions in his debut season at Anfield.
If Allen feels he is unlikely to figure prominently in Liverpool’s first team set-up next term then he may well consider a move across Stanley Park to Everton.
Liverpool forked out £15m for Allen back in August 2012 and this source claims they would want upwards of £10m and Martinez will hope that chairman Bill Kenwright backs him to make a significant offer for the pint sized midfield dynamo.
