The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought after young strikers in world football at the moment thanks to a string of highly impressive displays in the Argentinian top flight.

Several top European sides have already been linked with a move to secure his signature, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona, but a source close to the Anfield club has claimed that he is also highly placed on Brendan Rodgers’ list of transfer priorities this summer.

And he could be tempted to make the move to Merseyside as Rodgers has placed a particular emphasis on youth since taking over in 2012, and has shown that he is able to get the best out of players with little experience.

However, Correa is not short of options and will have one tough decision to make should he decide to move on, but Liverpool are remaining hopeful that he will decide on them.
