Not a great night for the Brazil international, who gave away possession too easily at times, although did have one decent effort cleared off the line.

A Man of the Match display from the four-time Ballon d’Or winner, who looked sharp and dangerous in attack and took his goal well and should have been given at least one penalty.
Andres Iniesta – 7
A fine game for the Spain international, who ran at the City defence in a more advanced role than the 29-year-old has come used to in recent times and set up Alves’ goal.
