The Frenchman made the move to Anfield last summer on a season long loan from Spanish side Valencia, but he has so far failed to hold down a regular first team spot in Brendan Rodgers’ plans this term as youngster Jon Flanagan has been preferred ahead of him.
And Flanagan’s emergence has meant that the manager will not be looking to extend the 26-year-olds deal beyond the end of the season despite Valencia’s apparent desire to cash in on him as soon as possible.
However, salvation may arrive from Italy as AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf is reportedly interested in bringing him to the club as part of his extensive rebuilding project this summer.
The Frenchman has made just 18 appearances under Rodgers this season and although the Liverpool boss is said to be looking to bolster his defence during the coming transfer window, it appears Cissokho does not feature in his plans for next season.
