Old Trafford side look to sign Goodison Park wide-man this summer.
Man United boss David Moyes is preparing an offer he hopes will tempt his former club into selling one of their prized assets according to Football Direct News.
Moyes is looking to bring in Republic of Ireland international Seamus Coleman with his current right-back options all failing to make a consistent impact at Old Trafford.
The likes of Rafael, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have all been used in the role but Moyes is one of many now chasing Coleman, who has played a key role in Roberto Martinez’s side’s push for a top four finish.
This source claims that Everton are keen on England international Tom Cleverley and Moyes is ready to offer the under-fire midfielder in part exchange for Coleman, a move that would certainly go down well with the Man United faithful.
Roberto Martinez has seen loaned in veteran Gareth Barry impress in the middle of the park but the Toffees may struggle to persuade the Man City man to join the club on a permanent basis which may well explain the Spanish boss’s interest in Cleverley.
David Moyes has actively backed Cleverley this term though has used the 24 year old in a more limited role since the turn of the year.
Coleman on the other hand has been a virtual ever present for Everton where he has been steady in defence and an often crucial performer in the final third.
