Chelsea are putting together an offer they feel will prove tempting as they look to step up their push for Atletico Madrid pair Diego Costa and Koke.

CaughtOffside understands that Jose Mourinho will look to cover a large portion of the rumoured £60m combined valuation of the Vicente Calderon duo with the offer of three Blues players.

Mourinho is keen to adopt a sensible transfer policy as Chelsea seek to adhere to UEFA’s FFP (Financial Fair Play) and as such knows he must trim his expansive squad ahead of moves to add to bring in new additions.

Thibaut Courtois Chelsea

21 year old Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois is into a third loan season at Atletico Madrid and will be offered to Diego Simeone on a permanent basis, with Mourinho happy to retain Petr Cech as his number one custodian.

Chelsea will also offer former Atletico Madrid star Fernando Torres, a player who has consistently failed to come anywhere near justifying the British record £50m the Blues paid Liverpool for his services back in January 2011.

Torres left Atletico Madrid for Anfield in the summer of 2007 and was a huge success at the club and could be seen as the type of signing that appeases the club’s fans should they once again see their star performers leave after another hugely successful season.

Fernando Torres Chelsea

The 30 year old scored 91 goals for Los Rojiblancos and is still highly thought of in the Spanish capital.

Finally Mourinho will offer Brazilian youngster Lucas Piazon on a season long loan deal with the clause of having first refusal in any potential future Chelsea exit.

Diego Costa Atletico Madrid

Mourinho sees 25 year old Costa as the ideal man to lead his Chelsea attack and is confident he can lure the Brazilian born Spanish international to the west London club in the summer where he will be offered a substantial pay-rise and a guaranteed first team spot with the Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o both likely to leave the club when their respective contracts expire at the end of the season.

Costa has scored 25 goals in 29 La Liga starts this term and his record of seven goals in six Champions League fixtures further shows the ability of the powerful forward to make an impact at the highest level.

The Blues boss sees cultured midfielder Koke as a long term replacement for veteran Frank Lampard.

The 22 year old is the leading assist maker in La Liga and is a player Mourinho has been scouting for a number of months.

Koke Atletico Madrid

Mourinho will hope that the duo feel that they have progressed as far as they can at over-achieving Atletico and that massive wage expectations further motivate Koke and Costa into considering a move to Chelsea.

Chelsea will offer Courtois & Torres with the option of including Piazon on a loan deal as well as around £15m in exchange for Koke and Diego Costa.
