The shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year.

Alongside the announcement of the PFA Player of the Year shortlist, the nominees for the Young Player of the Year has also been announced and it is no surprise to see a number of Liverpool players up for the gong.

Reds duo Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge, who is also shortlisted for the big prize too, have been in monumental form this season, with the former putting himself in the running to head to the World Cup at the end of the season despite a shaky start to life at the club last year.

Eden Hazard who, like Sturridge, is also shortlisted for the main prize, sneaks on to the list after finally showing his worth at Stamford Bridge.

Another Southampton star, Luke Shaw, has been placed in the running to pick up the prize as he continues to earn rave reviews over his continued emergence as one of England’s leading young talents.

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has showed his class and has been rewarded for a fine season with his inclusion on the list.

And capping off the nominees is Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey, who began the season in the form of his life until injury placed him on the sidelines again.
