The Barcelona starlet has been just one of a number of players to have impressed at Goodison Park this season under manager Roberto Martinez, and reports in Spain suggest that he is due to press ahead with a deal to stay at the club for another campaign.
The 20-year-old is currently helping the Toffees chase Champions League football, and has apparently agreed a deal in principle to stay put.
“Deulofeu will, in principle, stay another year in England, with the player being close to Everton manager Roberto Martinez,” Spanish newspaper AS reported.
Deulofeu was set to return to Barcelona at the end of the season, but after the Catalan club saw their transfer ban suspended earlier this week, the return of loanees has become a less pressing issue, with Barca set to splash the cash on multiple new arrivals in the summer.
Deulofeu has so far made 26 appearances for Everton across all competitions this season, scoring four goals in the process.
