With the club’s transfer ban having been suspended the Catalan giants are free to chop and change their side as they please and given that Barcelona are likely to go the entire season without any silverware for the first time since 2007/08 it’s perhaps no surprise that such changes would occur.
Among those set to be axed include a fair few talents that will raise big transfer fees that can then be reinvested by the La Liga side and there is bound to be a great deal of interest in the likes of Dani Alves, Cesc Fabregas, Javier Mascherano, Alexis Sanchez and Pedro.
Carles Puyol, Jose Pinto and Victor Valdes will all leave when their contracts expire at the end of the current campaign.
Among those who are also set to be sold, though will perhaps garner less in the way of funds than those already mentioned, are Ibrahim Afellay, Isaac Cuenca, Cristian Tello, Alex Song, Adriano, Jonathan dos Santos, Oier Olazabal and Sergi Roberto.
