Reds are preparing for life back in the Champions League next campaign.
Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers wants to sign the Southampton duo of Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren for next season for a combined fee of £40 million, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The Merseyside giants are set to embark on a major overhaul of their first-team squad at Anfield when the summer transfer window reopens for business after the club unexpectedly finished the season in second place in the Premier League.
And so with the Reds having now returned to the Uefa Champions League next campaign, Rodgers needs to add more quality to their ranks, with the Northern Irishman eyeing up a double swoop for midfielder Lallana and centre-back Lovren.
The England international is likely to cost Liverpool £20m to buy after the 26-year-old managed to find the back of the net on nine occasions in his 38 Premier League outings for the south-coast club last time around, with Lallana having already made it clear to his employers at St Mary’s that he intends to quit the club this summer to deal his dream move to Merseyside.
Meanwhile Lovren, 24, is also set to cost £20m after the Croatia international shone at the back for the Saints in his debut campaign in the Premier League last season.
