Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen to sign young German midfielder Emre Can according to Bild.

The talented youngster is considered one of the hottest prospects in European football and a move by Brendan Rodgers for the Frankfurt born starlet certainly adheres to the Anfield boss’s youthful transfer policy.
Respected journalist Raphael Honigstein has also reported on the deal, pointing out that the player’s agent was also involved in deals that saw youngster Samed Yesil make the same move from the BayArena to Merseyside.

Can moved to Bayer Leverkusen from Bayern Munich last summer and has proven a big hit this term, making 39 appearances in all competitions and helping his side to secure that all important Champions League berth for next term.
Can has been dubbed the ‘Next Michael Ballack’ and certainly has the ability to break into Liverpool’s starting eleven next season.
The German Under 21 international will battle Jordan Henderson, Joe Allen and Lucas Leiva for a spot alongside Steven Gerrard in the Liverpool midfield.
