Bayern winger not planning to move this summer.

Check in to Switzerland vs Ecuador

Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has moved to cool speculation that he is set to leave the club for a move to the Premier League this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The Swiss international spoke to journalists outside his national side’s World Cup training camp on Saturday, and insisted that, despite rumours to the contrary, he would still be at the Allianz Arena next season.

Recent rumours have suggested that the 22-year-old is not happy with a lack of regular first-team football at Bayern, and this has seemingly alerted the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and others across Europe to his potential availability.

Whilst at previous club FC Basel, Shaqiri was widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in the world, which earned him a big move to Bayern in the summer of 2012, though he has not quite managed to find his best form with the Bundesliga giants.

Both Liverpool and United are on the lookout for new signings on the flanks this summer as they look to strengthen for next season, but it seems as though Shaqiri may not be available for transfer this year.

When asked where he would be next season by reports, he simply said: “Still at Bayern Munich!”
