Reds pick up Kevin Stewart on a free…

Liverpool have completed the signing of former Tottenham defender Kevin Stewart on a free transfer, reports Sky Sports.
The 20-year-old, who captained Spurs at various youth levels last summer, became a Liverpool player officially yesterday, as this summer’s transfer window opened.
Stewart made his professional debut last season, and has spent a loan spell at Crewe Alexandra.
He’s now signed a two year deal at Anfield – which seems quite strange, considering the fact Tottenham released him, and that he’s already 20-years-old.
While this isn’t old, it seems unlikely that he’ll be able to dislodge the likes of Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger and even young Englishman Andre Wisdom from Brendan Rodgers’ side.
