Although every player has a price, for the amount of money it would take to convince certain clubs of selling certain players, some stars are logistically ‘untransferable’ right now, in our eyes.
Here’s ten players in world football who are all excellent, but have virtually zero chance of leaving their current clubs, because they’re happy, playing well, fan favourites, and would command unrealistically excessive money!
5) Raheem Sterling – Liverpool
The 19-year-old is contracted until 2017, and after establishing himself as arguably the world’s best teenager right now, it’s unfathomable that Liverpool would even entertain an offer for their talented attacker. Sterling owes so much to Brendan Rodgers, who gave him his debut, and knows how to get the best of the English prodigy as well. Sterling’s only a teenager, but his children live on Merseyside – so a life-changing move to Real Madrid or Barcelona (some of the only clubs who could afford a hypothetical fee) would be inconvenient for the player. Sterling will continue his development at Anfield for the foreseeable future.
