Reds closing in on Wilfried Bony
The Reds are closing in on a deal for Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony, according to reports in the Daily Express.
Rodgers believes Bony, who struck 25 goals for Swansea last season, can help fill the formidable gap left by Suarez’s departure to Barcelona.
Swansea, who have brought in Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis, know they face a fight to hold on to Bony, who they signed for £12m from Vitesse Arnhem last summer. His contract has a £20m release clause, which Rodgers is prepared to pay his former club.
