Stoke City have officially confirmed the signing of young Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic.

The 23 year old has signed a four year deal with the Potters and is Mark Hughes’s fifth signing of the summer and is something of a coup for the Britannia Stadium side.

Bojan has spent pretty much his entire career with Barcelona, save for brief spells at AS Roma, Ajax and AC Milan, and was considered at one point one of the hottest prospects in European football.

The pint sized forward scored 41 goals in 162 appearances for the Catalan side and has one full senior Spanish national team cap to his name.

Hughes has already brought in Mame Biram Diouf, Steve Sidwell, Phil Bardsley and Dionatan Teixeira following a steady first season in charge of the Stoke City.
