Bad News For Manchester United As Arturo Vidal Says No To Transfer And Puts Liverpool On Alert

Juventus star puts an end to rumours linking him to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have been handed another major transfer blow as their hopes of securing a world-class midfielder have taken a hit with their prime target Arturo Vidal ruling out a move to Old Trafford this summer.

The 27-year old has been linked extensively with a move to Louis van Gaal’s side over the last month, but he has finally ruled out a switch to Manchester.

“I’m still on vacation. Can I say I will remain with Juve? I don’t know,” the Juventus ace was quoted by the Daily Star.

“I’ll talk to Allegri on Monday and then we will see. I’m happy and calm here, I think Juve fans should be too.

“I haven’t spoken with Allegri or any of my team-mates yet, but I’m not going to Manchester.”

Vidal has also been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks, and the Reds’ fans could be excited about the prospect of landing the star after they reportedly matched United’s £42,5 million offer for him.

Liverpool might still have a chance to land Vidal as they would offer him the chance to play in the Champions League next season, but it cannot be certain that Vidal is in talks with the Anfield club after having ruled out a switch to Manchester.

Vidal could well use the interest in his signature to discuss terms of a new contract at Juventus, where he is still revered by the fans and management.
