Liverpool’s Move For £14m Bayern Munich Star Is Back On

Swiss star hints at potential switch to Anfield through his Twitter activity.

The Metro reports that Bayern Munich’s Xherdan Shaqiri’s transfer to Liverpool could still happen after the 22-year old reportedly favourited a tweet linking him with a move to Anfield this summer.

The Switzerland international is not a regular for Pep Guardiola’s side, and although he did deny talks with the Reds recently, he may now have changed his mind.

Liverpool have been keen on a £14 million deal for the playmaker, who starred at the 2014 World Cup and the Reds are also being urged by plenty of well-wishers of the club to sign the former FC Basel starlet.

There is a popular notion that Shaqiri’s talents are being under-utilised at Bayern, and despite the Swiss being reportedly in talks with the German giants over a new contract, he may not have closed the door on a move to a young and developing Liverpool’s side yet.

Shaqiri could also fit the bill for Brendan Rodgers’ youthful setup as the Northern Irishman has been intent on building for the long term future of the club.
