The 27 year old Chilean has been linked with a move to the Premier League side for some weeks and Louis van Gaal may be moving nearer to securing a move to bring in the Serie A star if indeed these claims are accurate.
By all accounts Vidal has told friends he wishes to join Man United though Juventus have told him he will stay where he is, not a situation that seems tenable.
Man United have offered Vidal a massive £200k a week deal and the five year contract on offer may well be further motivating the former Bayer Leverkusen man to push for an exit from his Turin side.
Vidal has been a huge success since moving to Juventus in July 2011, helping the Italian giants to three successive Serie A titles, though the club’s inability to make an impact in the Champions League may have led the attacking midfielder to believe a move away is necessary.
Van Gaal has spent over £60m to bring in Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw from Athletic Bilbao and Southampton respectively but may well feel the need to further strengthen a squad that only managed a seventh place Premier League finish last term.
