Manchester United have until the 15th of August to sign Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal after the Italian club admitted the player could leave, according to La Stampa.
The Chilean international has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford for much of the summer, and it is thought that a fee of around £40m could be enough to sign him, though talks have been ongoing and Juve are now seemingly growing impatient over the proposed deal.
Vidal has emerged as one of the best midfield players in the world during his time in Serie A, and though the club will no doubt be desperate to keep him, they have given United a deadline to work with if they hope to snap him up ahead of the new season.
However, it is thought that after the 15th of August, the Italian champions will no longer be considering offers for the in-demand 27-year-old, who has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool this summer.
New United manager Louis van Gaal will be hoping to still push this move through, having already missed out on the signing of Toni Kroos this summer, as he opted to move from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid.
