The 22 year old Spanish international will apparently complete the move for a fee of £14m, a deal that may also see Liverpool midfielder Suso move in the opposite direction.
Brendan Rodgers has been pursuing Moreno pretty much the entire summer but looks set to finally land the youngster, who will seemingly challenge Jose Enrique for the starting spot in his Anfield side.
Liverpool have already brought in six permanent additions in the form of Southampton trio Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert, German youngster Emre Can, Serbian wonderkid Lazar Markovic, Belgian forward Divock Origi (who has been loaned straight back to Lille) and brought in Atletico Madrid full-back Javier Manquillo on a loan deal.
Rodgers has made good use of funds made from Luis Suarez’s sale to Barcelona but may well need another striker signing to help fill the void left by the Uruguayan goal machine.
