Daniel Agger says goodbye to Liverpool after joining Brondby
The Denmark international has ended his eight-year stay at Anfield and has returned to his former club after falling down the pecking order.
Agger was vice-captain for the Reds, but had Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Dejan Lovren ahead of him for a place in the starting XI.
“Liverpool have been such a big part of my life and my family’s lives for so long, that leaving is extremely difficult,” the 29-year-old was quoted by the Mirror.
