Former Liverpool left-back John Arne Riise signed for Cypriot champions APOEL FC in Nicosia earlier this week.
APOEL will compete in the group stage of this season’s Champions League, alongside Ajax, PSG and Barcelona.
Riise’s new club will play in orange this term.
The former Reds and Fulham star uploaded the below picture to Instagram on Friday, along with the message: “Proud to have played my first game for @apoelfcofficial. friendly game, won 5-0. Fitness getting better everyday Our shirts colour are matching my hair and my sponsor @betssonnorge , so I’m very happy”.
